Smoked Trout, Apple and Pecan Salad

 Smoked Trout, Apple and Pecan Salad

Serves 4
Cooking and Preparation Time: 25 minutes

INGREDIENTS

Luss Smokehouse Smoked Trout (200g)

3 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp horseradish

2 tbsp white wine vinegar

¼ tsp chilli powder

1 tbsp olive oil

Mixed Salad

1 Large Apple (sliced)

1 cup red onion (sliced)

2 tbsp toasted pecans

 

METHOD

  1. Mix together lemon juice, horseradish and your (chopped) Smoked Trout, then leave to marinate in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle trout pieces with ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper.
  3. Whisk together ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp of pepper, oil, chilli powder and white wine vinegar.
  4. Add in salad, apple and onion. Toss gently so all the salad mix is coated.
  5. Add in the marinated Smoked Trout and serve with sprinkle of pecans.
