Luss Smokehouse began trading in 2015 and ever since has been rapidly increasing. One of the major goals for Luss Smokehouse was to employ as many local people as we can and we have done just that. We started off with just 4 members of staff... but now we employ 10! As the business continues to grow, our team will too, therefore keep up to date with our website and social media to see when we're hiring as you could become one of the family! 
Out of the 10 people that work here, 6 are under the age of 25 (our General Manager, Kirsty, is only 26!). We pride ourselves on being a Young Employer as we believe that we are really helping increase people's skill set and confidence in the workplace from a younger age and setting them in good pace for the future. Everyone here knows it can be difficult to get a job when you're at school or coming out of university/college, therefore we wanted to make sure that young talent is recognised and appreciated.
Our fish produce is sustainably sourced from the West Coast of Scotland, which is what makes our business unique. Scottish fish is highly sought after all around the world so we are humbled to be working in such a big industry. We also believe it is important to support local businesses and those in a similar industry to us. In March 2018, we opened our shop in Luss, which stocks our produce as well as other Scottish Food and Drink branded produce, which is popular with locals and tourists alike. 
We are really excited to see what the future holds for Luss Smokehouse. By attending trade shows and other 'foodie' events, we hope to meet new customers and advertise our business as far and as wide as we possibly can!
