Next Thursday we are hosting our first ever event at our Luss Smokehouse Shop, called Fish, Food and Females. We wanted to host this night as a way to celebrate with our fellow women in the food, drink and tourism industry as a follow on from International Women's Day.
We are soooo excited to get to see people we've not seen in a while but also to meet lots of new faces. We are lucky enough to have Jak O'Donnell from thesisters restaurants in Glasgow popping in to say hello and share her inspiring story, along with some other amazing local female entrepreneurs and business elites.
We will be showcasing our new Christmas hamper range as well as pairing our fash with prosecco and cocktails, what better combination?!
Throughout the evening we will be fundraising for a Glasgow-based charity called Simon Community Scotland. This is an amazing charity and one that works day and night to help combat the causes and effects of homelessness around Scotland. Just recently they launched a new initiative that helps women sleeping rough get access to the sanitary products they need without feeling embarrassed. The initiative also offers free help and advice to women who may be struggling to manage their period - a service that is well overdue. The money we raise will help Simon Community Scotland provide services like these and we are extremely proud to be of support to them.
If you are a fish wife or a woman in a foodie or tourism industry and you would like to come along, please get in contact with one of our fish wives at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: this is an invitation only event!
